Turn an outline into a mindmap you can actually use.

Type or paste your site structure, content plan or raw idea as an indented list. You’ll get it drawn four different ways — radial, tree, org chart and bracket — and you can download any of them as SVG or PNG.

What this tool is all about

Most mindmap software makes you drag boxes around before you can think. This works the other way: you write the structure as a plain indented list, which is how ideas actually come out, and the drawing happens on its own. The same outline is rendered four ways, because a site architecture reads best as a tree while a brainstorm reads best radially.

Who can use this tool

SEOs and content strategists planning site architecture or pillar-and-cluster models. Founders working through a new idea. Anyone who needs a clear diagram for a deck or a client document and doesn’t want to open design software to make one.

Benefits of using this tool

  • Type an outline — no dragging, no canvas to fight with
  • Four layouts from one structure, redrawn as you type
  • Paste an outline from a doc; bullets and numbering are stripped
  • Download as SVG for editing or PNG for slides
  • Four palettes and a filled or outlined node style

Which layout should you use?

Use the radial map for brainstorming and idea work, where no branch outranks another. Use the horizontal tree for website structures, since it mirrors how URLs nest and handles deep hierarchies without becoming unreadably wide. Use the org chart for reporting lines and anything where the top-down order is the point. Use the bracket map when it needs to go in a document — it’s the most compact and prints cleanly in black and white.

Using it to plan site architecture

Write your homepage as the first line, then each top-level section indented under it, then the pages beneath those. Seeing it drawn tends to expose two things quickly: sections that have grown far larger than the rest, and pages buried four levels deep that will be hard for both crawlers and visitors to reach. Both are worth fixing before you build, not after.
