Top 5 Neil Patel Digital Alternatives for SEO: A Simple Guide for Startups and Small Businesses (2026)

top neil patel digital alternatives

Neil Patel Digital, now called NP Digital, does great work for huge companies. But it costs a lot. If your business is new or small, a smaller SEO agency will likely help you more. The five I’d look at are Road To Top 5, SEOValley, e intelligence, Growfusely and EvenDigit.

TL;DR

4GrowfuselyNew software companiesAsk for a quote4.2
5EvenDigitTeams that need SEO and adsProjects from $1,0004.1

A quick note: Road To Top 5 is my own agency, so its score is my opinion. The other four agencies didn’t pay me.

What Is the History of Neil Patel Digital?

Neil Patel is a famous marketing teacher. In 2017 he helped start an agency under his name. Later the name got shorter: NP Digital. His blog and his SEO tool, Ubersuggest, brought in many customers.

WhenKey moment
2017The agency opens in the United States.
2019It opens an India branch.
2022It buys AnswerThePublic, a tool that shows what people search for.
NowOver 1,000 staff work in 28 countries for 500+ clients. Its main India office is in Mumbai.

In short: Neil Patel Digital opened in 2017. Today it is NP Digital, with over 1,000 staff worldwide.

Why Do Small Teams Look for Neil Patel Digital Alternatives?

NP Digital is made for big customers. That causes three problems for a small business:

  • The price is high. Its Clutch page shows a rate of $100 to $149 per hour. Most of its projects cost between $50,000 and $199,999.
  • Big companies come first. Four out of ten clients are very large companies. Only three out of ten are small.
  • SEO shares the stage. SEO is 30% of its work. Buying ads is a bigger part, at 35%. A few clients say it uses the same plan for everyone.

In short: Small teams search for alternatives of Neil Patel Digital because it costs too much and focuses on giant brands.

What Did I Check Before Picking These Agencies?

I gave every agency a mark out of 5 in four areas, using facts anyone can find online.

What I checkedThe question I asked
SEO skillDoes the agency mostly do SEO?
AI searchCan it get you into ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers?
OpennessCan you see its prices and real client reviews?
Small-team fitCan a small business pay for it?

In short: I marked these new competitors of Neil Patel Digital on SEO skill, AI search, openness and small-team fit.

Which Are the 5 Best Neil Patel Digital Alternatives for SEO?

1. Road To Top 5: Short Projects, No Monthly Fee

Road To Top 5 is a new agency, but our people have done SEO for years. We don’t ask you to pay every month. We work in sprints instead. A sprint is a short project with a set job list and a finish date. We offer three kinds: SEO sprints, AEO sprints and GEO sprints.

We plan each sprint with our FPDP method. Our goal is more customers for you, not just more visitors. See our work on the Road To Top 5 case studies page.

The catch: our brand is young, so we don’t have many online reviews yet.

2. SEOValley: Great If You Only Need SEO

SEOValley comes from Bhopal and has been around since 2000. Three-quarters of its work is SEO, and six in ten clients are small businesses. On Clutch, 38 clients gave it a full 5.0, and most spent under $10,000.

The catch: I saw no proof that it has helped a brand show up in AI answers.

3. e intelligence: Great for a Small Wallet

e intelligence opened in 2005. Its small team works from Vadodara, London and Australia. SEO is half of its work, and half of its clients are small, like online shops and dentists. It has a 4.9 rating from 31 clients on Clutch.

The catch: a few clients wanted fuller reports and quicker emails, and I found no AI search service.

4. Growfusely: Great for New Software Companies

Pratik Dholakiya started Growfusely in Ahmedabad in 2018. It helps software companies with articles, website fixes and AI search. It says one client, Mind the Graph, got four times more visitors from Google in eight months. On DesignRush, 4 clients rate it 4.5.

The catch: it hides its prices, has very few reviews and only suits software companies.

5. EvenDigit: Great If You Want SEO and Ads

EvenDigit opened in Indore in 2011. Every second client is a small business. With 106 reviews and a 4.9 rating on Clutch, it has the most reviews here. One client said the cost of each sale dropped from $171 to $69.

The catch: SEO is only a fifth of its work, so pick it when you want ads too.

In short: The top alternatives of Neil Patel Digital are Road To Top 5, SEOValley, e intelligence, Growfusely and EvenDigit.

How Can You Pick the Right One?

  1. Decide what you want. More calls, orders or sign-ups? Choose one.
  2. Know what you can spend. With a small budget, try SEOValley, e intelligence or EvenDigit. If you sell software, try Growfusely.
  3. Test your website. This free SEO gap checker finds your weak spots.
  4. Meet the person on your project. They should have real experience.
  5. Look at past results. Good agencies show how they won customers, as these case studies do.

FAQs

1. Which agencies are the best Neil Patel Digital alternatives?

My five picks are Road To Top 5, SEOValley, e intelligence, Growfusely and EvenDigit. A small bakery can’t pay $50,000 for one project, so a smaller agency makes more sense.

2. Is Neil Patel Digital a good SEO agency?

It is, if you’re a big company. Clients give NP Digital 4.6 stars on Clutch. For a small business, the cost is too high, so a smaller agency is the safer pick.

3. Which alternative should a startup choose?

Sell software? Go with Growfusely. Only need SEO? Go with SEOValley. Want one short project with a finish date? Go with Road To Top 5.

Disclaimer

This is my own opinion, written in October 2026. I looked at each agency’s website, client stories and the review pages I linked. Nobody paid for a spot on this list. Agencies share their own results, so yours may differ. Road To Top 5 is mine, and it competes with the others. Costs and ratings can change, so check with the agency before you say yes.
