More and more people don’t scroll through ten blue links anymore — they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google’s AI for a straight answer, and trust whatever comes back. We help your business become one of the sources these tools quote, so you show up right at the moment someone’s deciding.
A real person checks whether AI tools currently mention you, which questions you could win, and where the honest opportunities are — then sends a plain-English summary.
We’ll be honest about what’s realistic. No spam, ever.
AEO is new, so the honest signal is what clients tell us after a few months of steady work. Here’s what they’ve said.
We kept hearing from customers that ChatGPT had ‘recommended us’, but we had no idea why or how to build on it. Road to Top 5 explained what was happening and helped us get mentioned far more consistently. It’s a real source of enquiries now.
Founder, B2B SaaS (Bangalore)
Our traffic was flat even though rankings were fine — people were getting their answer straight from Google’s AI without clicking. They restructured our content so we actually get named in those answers, and the right visitors started coming back.

What I appreciated most was that they didn’t overpromise. They were honest that AEO is new and evolving, showed me what they could measure, and kept it practical. No hype, just steady progress.

Search is quietly splitting in two. Alongside the familiar list of links, people now get direct answers from AI — and often act on them without ever visiting a website. If your business isn’t part of those answers, you’re invisible to a fast-growing slice of your customers.
Instead of typing keywords and browsing, people now ask full questions and expect one clear answer. Whoever the AI names as the answer wins the moment — and it’s rarely the business sitting on page two.
When Google’s AI or ChatGPT answers directly, many people never click through to any website. The only way to benefit is to be inside the answer itself — mentioned, quoted or cited as the source.
When an AI tool names your business as where its answer came from, that carries real weight. It’s a recommendation from something the customer already trusts, right at the point of decision.
The shops and services around you are claiming their profiles, gathering reviews and showing up first. Every week you’re not visible is a week those customers go to them instead of you.
Every business is at a different point with AI search, so we keep it simple — pick the package that fits, and we’ll scope it to your goals on a quick call.

Founder, Road to Top 5
Here's the uncomfortable truth I tell every B2B founder: your buyers have already made up their minds before they ever talk to your sales team. They research quietly — on Google, on LinkedIn, and increasingly by asking ChatGPT and Perplexity 'who are the best vendors for X'. If your name isn't in those answers, you're not even in the room.
B2B is different from B2C, and most agencies pretend it isn't. You're not selling to one person on impulse — you're convincing a group of customers over six to twelve months. The CFO wants ROI. The CTO wants security and a clean stack. Procurement wants three quotes and a comparison. The end user just wants it to work. Each of them searches differently, and each needs a page that answers them. That's what real B2B SEO is: not a pile of keywords, but a content engine for the whole buying journey.
And the surface has moved. Six in ten searches now end without a click. Your prospect reads the AI-synthesised answer and shortlists from it. The brands winning B2B in 2026 are the ones the model trusts enough to quote — by name, with attribution. That's not a 2015 backlink playbook. It's entity engineering, schema, comparison content and share-of-answer tracking.
That's exactly why we built Road to Top 5 for B2B. We're newer and hungrier, we ship every week, and we report the only metric your board cares about — pipeline. If your competitors are already being recommended by AI and you're not, that gap compounds every quarter. The cheapest time to fix it was last year. The next cheapest is now.
Before we write a word, we figure out who’s searching, what they actually mean, and which searches are closest to a signed deal.
A CFO, a CTO and an end user search for the same product in totally different ways. We list out every person involved in the buy and find the questions each of them types — so no decision-maker is left without a page that speaks to them.
We focus on keywords that show strong commercial intent and connect your content with people who are already looking for a solution.
We look at what your competitors rank for, what they're missing, and where there's real search demand with weak content. Those gaps become your fastest, cheapest wins.
We make sure search engines can properly crawl, understand and index your website.
We identify technical problems that can stop search engines from crawling, understanding or ranking important pages on your website.
We create content that is easy to understand, useful for visitors and designed to support business goals.
Every page has a clear purpose. We combine search intent, useful information and strong messaging to create content that helps visitors take the next step.
We structure your content so answer engines can easily understand your expertise and provide useful answers.
We organise important information around the questions your audience is actually asking.
We improve how your brand and expertise can be understood across modern AI and language-model driven search.
We create a consistent information structure that helps search systems and AI models understand what your business does and why it matters.
We strengthen the structured signals that help search engines understand your business, pages and expertise.
We improve the structure and consistency of important information across your website so search engines can better understand your organisation and content.
Answer engine optimization is new, and plenty of agencies are guessing. We’re upfront about what’s known and what’s still evolving, and we run the work through a system we built and refined ourselves — so it’s structured, not scattershot.
Find, Prioritise, Discover, Plan & Execute — the same repeatable system we use for search, adapted for AI answers. It keeps AEO practical and measurable instead of a pile of guesses.
Find where AI already mentions you
Prioritise the questions that matter
This space is new, so we’re straight with you about what can and can’t be tracked. We monitor where and how AI tools mention you, watch the questions you’re winning, and report it plainly — no invented metrics.
AI tools favour clear, well-organised, genuinely helpful content. We structure your pages — questions, answers, definitions and sources — so they’re easy to quote accurately.
Answer engines lean on credible, well-sourced information. We build the authorship, citations and consistency that make your content safe for an AI to rely on.
No call centre, no juniors experimenting on your account. You work directly with senior people who follow this space closely — and the founder stays close to your account from day one.
Find → Prioritise → Discover → Plan & Execute. A clear, step-by-step flow — each step lights up as you scroll into it.
A 7-day deep audit across technical, content, entity and LLM-citation signals — scoped to your customers. We surface every leak draining demos: thin bottom-funnel pages, missing comparison content, crawl traps in gated resources, weak product schema.
Not every fix moves pipeline. We rank every opportunity by impact × effort × time-to-revenue — so the first sprint targets the bottom-funnel and comparison queries your sales team already knows convert.
Where are competitors invisible inside ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews for your category? We map the entity gaps, vendor-comparison prompts and RFQ-stage questions your customers are searching — and nobody owns yet.
A 90-day roadmap with weekly shipping — technical fixes, pillar and solution pages, schema, internal linking and digital PR. You see commits, PRs and live changes every Friday, mapped to pipeline. No slidedeck quarters.
Everything a founder asks before getting started with AEO — answered plainly, honestly, and without the hype.
They help by getting your business named and cited inside AI answers, which brings in visitors who’ve already been pointed to you as a trusted source.
It’s a slightly different idea from classic SEO. Instead of only chasing clicks from a list of links, AEO works to get you mentioned in the direct answers people now get from tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. When one of those tools names your business as where its answer comes from, some people click through to learn more — and those visitors arrive already trusting you, because an AI they rely on just recommended you. It’s worth being honest, though: some AI answers lead to no click at all, so part of the value is simply being present in the answer and building awareness. We focus on the questions where being cited genuinely brings the right people to your site, and we measure that honestly rather than promising a flood of traffic.
Look for honest measurement, genuinely useful content, proper technical structure, and a team that’s upfront about what’s known and what’s still evolving.
Because AEO is new, the most important ‘feature’ is honesty — a good provider will tell you plainly what can be tracked and what can’t, rather than inventing impressive-sounding metrics. Beyond that, look for real content skill (AI only quotes content that’s clear and helpful), solid technical work (schema, clean structure, crawlability), and attention to trust signals like authorship and consistency. Ask them to show you what AI currently says about your business and how they’d measure change. Be cautious of anyone guaranteeing citations or claiming a secret formula — nobody can promise what an AI model will say. At Road to Top 5 we lead with the honest audit first, so you can see the starting point before committing.
The best fit is a team that understands both AI search and local search — because for many Indian businesses, the two now overlap.
A growing number of local searches — ‘best dentist near me’, ‘good CA in Bangalore’ — are answered by AI as well as the map. So if you’re a local business, you want a partner who handles both: the local SEO basics (Google Business Profile, reviews, consistent details) and the newer AEO work (clear answers, structure, being cited by AI). Rather than picking a company purely on a ‘top ten’ list, look for one that can show real work in both areas and is honest about this fast-changing space. Road to Top 5 is based in Bangalore and does exactly this — we run local SEO and AEO together for Indian businesses, because for most of our clients they’re now two halves of the same job.
For an online store, choose a service that understands product content, structured data and the buying questions shoppers ask AI before purchasing.
E-commerce has its own shape. Shoppers increasingly ask AI things like ‘what’s the best X for Y’ or ‘is this brand any good’ before they buy. So for a store, the right AEO partner should be strong on product and category content, on structured data for products and reviews (which helps AI describe your items accurately), and on the comparison and buying questions in your niche. They should also understand that being cited in a product recommendation is different from a blog citation. Ask how they’d handle your product range and reviews specifically. We scope e-commerce AEO around the real questions your shoppers ask on the way to buying, and make sure your product information is clear and consistent enough for AI to represent it correctly.
The main benefits are being visible where search is heading, being recommended by tools your customers trust, and getting an early-mover advantage while most competitors haven’t adapted.
There are a few genuine benefits worth being clear-eyed about. First, you stay visible as customer behaviour shifts towards asking AI instead of browsing links — protecting you from quietly disappearing from that growing group. Second, when an AI tool cites your business, it acts like a trusted recommendation at the exact moment someone’s deciding. Third, and maybe most importantly right now, it’s early: most businesses haven’t done this work, so the ones who start now build authority that’s harder to displace later. We won’t pretend it replaces everything else — it works alongside your regular SEO. But as a place to invest ahead of the curve, it’s one of the more sensible bets a founder can make today.
A successful AEO strategy combines the right questions to target, genuinely useful and well-structured content, strong trust signals, and honest measurement.
In plain terms, a good AEO strategy has four parts working together. First, research — knowing the real questions your customers ask AI, and which are worth winning. Second, content — clear, helpful answers structured so AI can quote them, backed by real depth rather than fluff. Third, trust — authorship, credible sources, consistency and schema that make your content safe for an AI to rely on. Fourth, measurement — tracking what the AI tools actually say about you and adjusting. Miss any one of these and it wobbles: great content that AI can’t parse, or perfect structure with nothing useful to say, both fall flat. We run all four through our F.P.D.P framework so they stay joined up rather than scattered.
They can improve your chances of appearing in answer boxes and AI summaries, but no honest service can guarantee a specific position — that’s decided by the search engine.
‘Answer boxes’ — featured snippets, and now AI-generated answers — pull from content that clearly and directly answers a question, from a source the engine trusts. AEO improves your odds of being that source by making your answers clear and quotable, adding the right structure and schema, and strengthening your credibility. That genuinely helps. But it’s important to be honest: whether you actually appear, and in what form, is Google’s or the AI tool’s decision, and it changes over time. Anyone guaranteeing you a spot in the answer box isn’t being straight with you. What we can promise is to give your content the best possible chance of being chosen, and to tell you honestly how it’s performing.
Measure it through a mix of AI mention tracking, the quality of visitors it brings, and the enquiries or sales that follow — while accepting some of the value is awareness that’s harder to pin down.
ROI for AEO is a little different from classic SEO, and it’s better to be honest than to force a neat number. We track a few things together: whether the major AI tools now mention and cite you (and how that’s trending), whether search visibility for your key questions is improving, and — most importantly — whether the visitors and enquiries coming through are the right ones. Where we can, we connect AEO activity to real outcomes like leads or sales. But part of the benefit is being present in answers people read without clicking, which builds awareness that’s real but harder to measure precisely. We report all of this plainly, including the uncertainty, so you can judge the return honestly rather than trusting an invented figure.
Traditional SEO aims to rank your page so people click it; AEO aims to get your business named inside the answer itself — but the two overlap and work best together.
The simplest way to see it: traditional SEO optimises to win the click from a list of links, while AEO optimises to be part of the direct answer an AI or search engine gives — the mention, the quote, the cited source. Classic SEO cares a lot about keywords and rankings; AEO cares more about clearly answering real questions, structuring content so machines can quote it, and being a trusted source. That said, they’re not opponents. Strong traditional SEO — good content, authority, technical health — is much of what makes AEO possible, because AI tools draw heavily on well-ranked, trusted pages. So we don’t treat them as separate services fighting for budget; we run AEO as a natural extension of solid SEO, so the same work pays off in both classic search and AI answers.
