Why Indian businesses need international SEO.

If you sell beyond India — or want to — your customers in other countries are searching in their own language, on their own Google. International SEO is simply making sure you show up there, the same way you do at home.

Each country has its own search results

Google in the UAE, the UK or the US shows different results to Google in India. Without international SEO, you might rank beautifully at home and be completely invisible in the markets you’re trying to sell into.

People search in their own language

Buyers abroad type in their own words and language. If your pages only speak to an Indian audience, you simply won’t appear when an overseas customer searches for exactly what you offer.

The wrong setup quietly costs you

A messy URL structure or broken hreflang means Google shows the wrong page in the wrong country — or treats your markets as duplicates. Getting the structure right is half the battle, and it’s the half most businesses get wrong.

Export demand is there for the taking

More international buyers are researching Indian suppliers online than ever before. The businesses that show up first in each market win those enquiries — and right now, most of your competitors haven’t done this properly.

The technical foundation of international SEO — getting your URL structure and language tags right so Google serves the correct page to each country.

We pick the right setup for your markets

First we decide how your site should be organised for different countries — subdirectory, subdomain or country domains. We weigh your budget, your team and your priority markets, then recommend the route that gives you the most reach for the least friction.

✓Subdirectory, subdomain or ccTLD
✓Matched to your budget and markets
✓A clear, future-proof foundation

We set up language and regional targeting correctly

We make sure the right language and regional versions are connected so search engines can understand which page belongs to each audience.

Language and country targeting
Correct page relationships
Clear international signals

We keep geotargeting and canonical signals clear

We align the signals that help search engines understand which pages should be shown in each market without creating unnecessary conflicts.

Clear market targeting
Consistent canonical signals
Reduced international duplication issues

Every market searches differently. We research what your customers actually type in each country — in their own language — so your content matches real local demand.

We research demand country by country

What sells in the UAE may be searched very differently in the UK or Germany. We study real search demand in each target market separately, so you build on what people there are actually looking for — not an assumption based on India.

Separate research per market
Real local search demand
No guessing from the home market

We find the words each market actually uses

We research the local language, terminology and search behaviour behind each market so keyword targeting reflects how customers naturally search.

Local-language search terms
Market-specific terminology
Natural search behaviour

We map the competitors in each local market

The competitors that matter can change from country to country. We identify who is visible locally and where the strongest opportunities exist.

Local competitor landscape
Search visibility opportunities
Market-by-market priorities

Content that feels written for each market, not awkwardly translated. This is what turns visibility in a new country into actual trust and enquiries.

We adapt content to each market

Localisation goes beyond translation — currency, units, examples, tone and local trust signals all matter. We brief and guide your content so it reads like it was written for that country, which is what earns the trust to convert.

More than translation

We shape pages around each market

We adapt market pages around local priorities, language and customer expectations so each version has a clear reason to exist.

We protect quality across languages

Translations are reviewed for meaning, natural phrasing and local context so important messages do not become awkward or misleading.

Why Indian businesses should take international SEO seriously.

When people hear 'enterprise SEO' they often imagine some advanced, secret set of tactics. In my experience it's the opposite. The tactics are usually the same fundamentals — good architecture, solid technical health, content that matches intent. What changes completely is the scale and the context. You're not editing a handful of pages; you're working with thousands generated by templates, across teams that each have their own priorities and their own roadmap.

That's why I think the real skill in enterprise SEO is coordination, not cleverness. On a big site, knowing what to do is rarely the hard part. Getting it agreed across developers, content, brand, legal and regional teams — and actually shipped through approval chains and release cycles — is where most SEO programmes stall. We spend as much energy on fitting into how a large organisation moves as we do on the SEO itself, because a brilliant recommendation that never gets implemented is worth nothing.

The scale also raises the stakes. On a small site a mistake is a minor annoyance. On an enterprise site, a careless systemic change can wipe out visibility across whole sections overnight. So we lean hard on governance, testing and careful rollout — standards that stop avoidable mistakes, and staged changes with monitoring so nothing big goes wrong quietly. It's less glamorous than 'growth hacks', but it's what actually protects a large business.

And in a market like India, there's the added reality of regions and languages. A large Indian organisation is really operating in many markets at once, and treating it as one flattens all the local intent that drives results. We build structures that stay consistent as a brand while giving regional and language differences the room they need. Put simply: enterprise SEO, done well, is disciplined, coordinated, and honest about complexity — and that's exactly the kind of work we like doing.

Important activities we do in B2B
SEO.

B2B SEO isn’t one thing — it’s a stack of jobs that have to work together. Here’s the actual work, grouped the way we run it. Pick a track to see what’s inside.

Global results you can measure —
powered by a framework that's ours alone.

Lots of agencies will say they ‘do international SEO’. We focus on the things that actually win you customers in each market — and we run it all through a system we built and patented ourselves.

Our patented F.P.D.P framework

Find, Prioritise, Discover, Plan & Execute — a simple, repeatable system we built to turn international SEO into real enquiries from real markets, not technical guesswork.

F

Find what’s blocking each market

P

Prioritise the markets worth winning

D

Discover demand country by country

F

Plan & execute, market by market

Clear reporting, country by country

We don’t drown you in one giant dashboard. You get a simple view of how each market is performing — rankings, traffic and enquiries per country — so you always know which regions are paying off and where to push next.

System

we fix at the template and platform level, so one change corrects thousands of pages

We get the technical foundation right

Hreflang, site structure, geotargeting and canonicals — the fiddly technical layer that makes or breaks international SEO. We handle it so the right page always shows in the right country.

Content that feels local, not translated

We brief and guide content so it reads naturally in each market — local terms, local examples, local trust signals — instead of a clumsy machine translation customers don’t trust.

Talk to real people, including the founder

No call centre, no juniors learning on your account. You work directly with senior people who’ve done this across markets — and the founder stays close to your account from day one.

How we turn global searches into real customers.

Find → Prioritise → Discover → Plan & Execute. A clear, step-by-step flow — each step lights up as you scroll into it.

F
STEP 01

Find issues across the estate

We start by getting a full, honest picture of a large and often messy site — technical health across templates, content overlap, regional structure and where visibility is being lost. On an enterprise site, simply seeing the whole thing clearly is half the battle.

P
STEP 02

Prioritise by business impact

There's always more to fix than resources allow. We rank everything by likely business impact and effort, and align it with your teams — so the programme goes after the changes that matter most to revenue and pipeline, not just the easy or interesting ones.

D
STEP 03

Discover scalable fixes

On a big site, the right fix is usually systemic — at the template, platform or structural level — so one change corrects thousands of pages. We work out those scalable solutions, and the safe way to roll them out, rather than patching page by page.

P
STEP 04

Plan, execute & govern

Then we execute in a way that fits how a large organisation moves — clear specs for developers, work planned around release cycles and approvals, careful rollout with monitoring, and standards that keep the site healthy. We report to leadership in business terms and keep the loop running.

Straight answers on international SEO.

Everything a business owner asks before taking their SEO global — answered plainly, in normal language, with no jargon.

Look for an agency that explains things in plain language, has actually ranked businesses in other countries, and starts by getting your site structure and hreflang right — not one that just promises rankings.

International SEO is more technical than regular SEO, so experience really matters. Ask a potential provider how they’d structure your site for different markets and how they handle hreflang — if they can explain it clearly and simply, that’s a good sign. Ask to see markets they’ve helped clients rank in. And make sure they report per country, not as one big lump. At Road to Top 5 we walk you through all of this before you commit, so you know exactly what you’re getting and why.

It depends mainly on how many markets you’re targeting and how complex your site is — but it’s almost always far cheaper than the export revenue a single new market can bring in.

There’s no one price, because targeting two markets is very different from targeting ten. The cost is driven by the number of countries and languages, the state of your current site, and how much localised content you need. The honest way to think about it isn’t ‘what does it cost’ but ‘what is one new export market worth to me’ — usually that comparison makes the investment easy. We’ll scope it to your priority markets first so you start affordably and scale as the results come in.

Yes — the smart approach is to start with one or two priority markets done properly, then expand, which keeps it very affordable at the start.

You don’t have to take on the whole world at once, and you shouldn’t. The most cost-effective path is to nail your site structure and hreflang, then win one or two high-potential markets really well before adding more. That keeps your initial investment modest while still delivering real overseas enquiries. Our Launch package is built exactly for this — get the foundation and your first markets right affordably, then expand only when the returns justify it.

Pick the right site structure, set up hreflang correctly, research each target market, build localised content for it, and then earn local trust — in that order.

In plain terms, here’s the path. First, decide how your site is organised for different countries (subdirectory, subdomain or country domains). Second, implement hreflang so Google shows the right page in each market. Third, research what people actually search for in each country. Fourth, build genuinely localised pages for those markets. And finally, earn local links and trust over time. Getting the order right matters — the foundation has to come first. We handle each of these steps for you and keep it all moving market by market.

For global e-commerce, you get the site structure and hreflang right first, then localise categories, product pages, currencies and content for each market — and keep the site fast everywhere.

E-commerce adds a few extra layers. On top of the usual international foundation, you need your category and product pages localised — including currency, units, shipping info and language — and your structure has to handle that cleanly without creating duplicate content. Site speed across regions becomes really important too, because slow pages lose sales fast. We build the structure to scale, localise the pages that matter most for revenue, and make sure each market’s store both ranks and converts.

Less than most founders expect — because the right approach is to start lean with one or two markets, not to fund a huge global campaign from day one.

For a startup, international SEO can be one of the most cost-effective ways to find customers abroad, precisely because you start focused. Get your foundation right and win a single high-potential market first; the investment there is modest and the learnings carry into every market after. As that market starts paying off, you reinvest into the next. We’re set up exactly for growing businesses that want senior international expertise without a big upfront commitment — we’ll always tell you honestly what’s worth doing now and what can wait.

There are good courses and resources out there from established SEO platforms and communities — but for most businesses, it’s faster and cheaper to partner with a team than to train up in-house.

If you genuinely want to learn it yourself, reputable SEO platforms and well-known industry communities run training that covers hreflang, site structure and localisation. Be a little careful, though — international SEO is a niche, technical skill, and getting it wrong on a live site can quietly cost you for months. For most businesses, the maths favours working with people who already do this day in, day out, rather than learning on your own site. If you ever do want to upskill your team, we’re happy to guide them alongside doing the work — so you get results now and knowledge for later.
